Our Mission

At present there is virtually no trade between Gaza and the world.  However, the Euro-Med Partnership has resulted in sub-agreements such as the 1997 Euro-Mediterranean Interim Association Agreement between the European Community & Palestinian Authority, this agreement mandates the following objectives:

•   to contribute to the social and economic development of the West Bank and Gaza Strip

•   to establish the conditions for the progressive liberalization of trade

•   to foster the development of balanced economic and social relations between the Parties through dialogue and cooperation

It further states that the objectives of cooperation will be:

•   promoting investments in tourism

•   promoting intra-regional trade

•   improved passenger and freight services both at bilateral and regional level

‘Relations between the Parties, as well as all the provisions of the Agreement itself, shall be based on respect of democratic principles and fundamental human rights as set out in the universal declaration on human rights, which guides their internal and international policy and constitutes an essential element of this Agreement.’ Euro-Mediterranean Interim Association Agreement between the European Community & Palestinian Authority (Article 2)

1.  Establishing Trade. To establish an internationally recognised shipping lane into and out of Palestine.  Our focus will be to import raw materials into Palestine and export Palestinian products to the EU and beyond.  One impact will be the reopening of factories and the creation of jobs.

2. Transporting People. To transport customers with valid travel documents.  As part of our social objectives this will include free travel for students with approved scholarships abroad and patients requiring life saving medical care not available in Gaza.

3. Stimulating the Economy. To stimulate the Palestinian and regional economies with lawful import and export trade.  Gaza can produce 40 million flowers a year but most are fed to livestock because of the inability to export them.  We intend to make Gaza’s flowers our first major Palestinian export.

4. Championing Human Rights. To champion the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Our company and ship will serve as a model & symbol of respect for human rights and the power such respect has to promote a world of peace and prosperity.

5. Respecting Self-Determenation. To respect democracy and self-determination.  We recognise the democratic will of the people throughout the region and shall work with their elected representatives as necessary.

6. Transcending Politics. To transcend politics through SafeTrade and commerce.

7. Connecting Gaza to the World. To connect Gaza to the world by way of the sea.
